Received a flat of 500 Nightcrawlers about one month ago. They were in excellent condition when I received them. I did split them into several containers after I received them. Since then I have used them for fishing multiple times. They continue to remain in excellent shape, I have lost only about six.

I order nightcrawlers overnight because of the hear. When they got delayed, I was contacted by Speedy Worm before I had even been notified by FedEx, and told to get some bedding ready and chilled to put them in right away, and if there were any problems to send pictures as soon as my worms arrived and the problems would be corrected. As it turned out, they arrived a day late, but fat, sassy, and healthy because of the good packaging! They're huge worms too! I'm going fishing!

For Bait, But....

Struggled to find a dealer who sold Canadian Nightcrawlers that weren't strictly for bait and it turns out Speedy is selling for bait as well. This means they have been in refrigerator which means the worms were very lethargic when received (I thought they might be dead). They did, however recover after being kept in a bin for several days and they seem healthy and relatively active so I have no trouble recommending Speedy. I sure would have preferred worms kept at a temperature where they were active as I did kind of panic when they were received but I simply could not find them anywhere. Only time will tell if they reproduce but I'm optimistic given the health they are exhibiting.

I received these crawlers in great condition and found them ready to smack the fish in the face. I am used to the standard bait shop variety 5-6 inch that stretch to 9-10 inches. These can stretch to the length of some Garder snakes. I split the 250 I ordered between a worm farm box and the cooler they came in and made sure the lids were on tight. To my surprise they must have worked as a team they worked the lid loose and decided to take a tour of the fridge. Its a good idea to place wait on the lids I am serious these Crawlers are Brutes.
I will definitely be ordering these again. I expect to see a Walleye with a Black eye this season!

Ordered 500 crawlers Tuesday morning 9/22, order shipped 9/22. For fishing trip from 9/27 through 9/30. Received order Thursday afternoon, 9/24 around 3pm speedy delivery. Driver handed me the box. Opened styrofoam box and worms were very stressed. Two water bottles had melted. Temp 75 deg. Separated nightcrawlers into several cooler containers with new, moist dirt. Placed ice on carboard mat in containers. Maintained temp of 40-45 deg. Monitored temp every 12 hours, added ice as necessary to maintain 40-45 deg temp of dirt. Nightcrawlers recovered OK.
My recommendations: Be prepared for when the order arrives... my worms were really stressed and required immediate attention; Best dirt I found was using old potting soil from planters outside; don't use original store ice bags, they leak like a sieve and will soak the worms. I used quart size freezer bags for ice.

Received my worms quickly. They were packed in a styrofoam cooler with a couple of water bottles frozen. I place them on top of a deep raised garden bed about 36 inches. They burrowed down over the next hour....and only had about 3 dead worms left on top. I would say that is an excellent rate on an order of 500. I came out that night and they were hanging out on top and happy. Voracious eaters as I had used grass clippings to mulch my garden plants and within 1-2 weeks most of the clippings had disappeared. I would order again.

It's hard finding good worms Long Island and I use SpeedyWorm all the time. The Canadian Nightcrawlers come big and fresh, and very healthy. They wiggle like mad on the hook and I catch nice bass and pickerel on them. I also buy European Nightcrawlers for smaller hooks and the bass can't stay away from them either. The worms always come well packaged and quickly, and they seem to live longer than ones I buy locally (which have been sitting refrigerators for God knows how long). The worms came when they were supposed to, unfortunately they were supposed to be in the Frabil worm box I paid for and werent. they were in a bag, so I had to go find, and buy another box. I was later refunded for the cost of the box. Also, I was told if it was over 75 degrees where I live the worms would be left at the Post Office for me to pick up. A feature I really liked. That didnt happen. It was 90 degrees in my town that day, and they rode in a very hot mail truck from 7:55a.m. to 3:30p.m. They were actually hot when I got them. Surprisingly, they lived though.

The night crawlers came and were pretty wet, they looked like they were in bad shape, added some new worm bedding and put them in the fridge and they looked very good after a few hours. WE recently ordered worms form Speedy Worms. They were shipped to the Post Office IN Amity Arkansas because of the temperature was over 75. Unfortunately, our worms were dead due to the extreme heat. When, I called Speedy Worms they refunded my money right away. I did not reorder because of the temperatures were so high and did not want a repeat of dead worms. The only thing I would recommend you could improve on is possibly putting a little more ice in the shipping box, the delivery man set them in the sun and the ice was completely melted but the bedding was still at 50 degrees. Also narrowing down delivery time (some time between 2 or 3 days) is quite a span.
I took a few dead worms out of the packages, but I guess that's to be expected. And so far they appear to be doing alright at 45 degrees in fresh bedding.
It's my first time with speedy worms and I believe I would order from them again.

Nice job packaging and the Frabill Habitat II storage containers are a great upgrade. Workms arrive alive and healthy. After a day in the correct temp environment, they fully recovered from shipping. There was a mix of large and smaller worms....all pretty good size but not Xlarge. Good size for Jigs, Lindy Rigs and Slip Bobber setups. I personally troll a spinner harness so like my workms really large. I recommend & will consider ordering again.

Received a order of worms last week. Divided them up about 20 minutes after I received them. Put them in containers of 1 dozen.
They acted different then the shipments from last year. Didn't do anything different except I used most of your bedding you sent.
Boxed 41 dozen plus 6 left over. After boxing I put them in our refrigerator, checking every other box. They all looked OK. I check later that day and found several boxes that when you opened the box they weren't moving. They still didn't move if I touch them. I've never had this problem before with your worms. Is there something I can do? So far I've had to throw away 6 1 dozen containers. I'll be going out tomorrow checking again.
I'm not sure this is the type of a review you'd like to have. But to relate to your serve and produce I believe you have a good product and the serve I've received as been great. I plan on still doing business with Speedy Worm.

The shipping to Madison WI has always been 1 day from the time of order. I order typically Wed AM and by Thursday afternoon I have the worms. Summer has been hot and the fish bite slow. These worms seem to yield better catches than the stuff off the shelf at the local bait shop however. These Canadian crawlers are firmer and stay active quite a while after hooked (more so than others). I am not an expert fisherman but have never come back to the dock empty handed with Canadian crawlers. I even hand feed my local (bird) Robin family some of these and they love them too. Fast delivery, fair price, and great product. I have become a loyal customer this past summer.

All in all I am satisfied with the worms and most definitely the customer service (Debby). There was an issue with delivery. The package arrived 2days later than it was supposed to (by no fault of Speedy Worm) the delivery service dropped the ball for unknown reasons. But the customer service team was right there with me, they called delivery service kept me updated with delivery info. The worms are great only a couple died out of an order of 250.
