Spikes are Maggots. They are used for fishing bait typically in cooler water temperature like in the fall, winter and spring. They are used to catch, Perch, Trout, Bluegill, Crappie, Carp, Suckers, Cat Fish, Whitefish and land locked Salmon. Fish love maggots and so do reptiles.
When you receive them you MUST keep them refrigerated so they don't turn into flies. Refrigerate between 33 to 39 degrees and they will keep for weeks. Put the spikes in a container with the lid off so they stay dry.
Due to record high volumes of
e-commerce orders, the shipping carriers that we utilize (US Postal Priority
Mail, UPS & Spee-Dee Delivery) are unable to guarantee delivery
times. We STRONGLY RECOMMEND you select UPS Overnight or UPS 2
Day. However, if you live in the
Spee-Dee Delivery area (Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Wisconsin,
and Illinois) you already have the fastest shipping possible. If you do
not select overnight shipping and the worms are delayed in shipping and arrive
dead, we will not refund or replace them.
We do NOT offer
a live worm guarantee if you select UPS Next Day Air.
If weather conditions are hot
(75 degrees or higher or cold 40 degrees or less) in your area, please select
next day delivery with UPS.
Residence of Minnesota, Iowa,
South Dakota, North Dakota, Wisconsin, or Illinois your package will be
shipped with Spee-Dee Delivery service and should arrive the next day.
Parts of Illinois, South Dakota & North Dakota are a two-day delivery.
Please allow an extra day, there is not a guarantee of next day delivery.
Because our products are
temperature sensitive, Speedy Worm reserves the right to change shipping
carriers (US Postal Service, FedEx, or UPS) or hold orders if extreme
