The bait was shipped quickly and packaged very well. So far I have only had to remove less than a handful of corpses. This order only had a small amount of bedding which is great as I remove them from the sawdust and add in a little corn meal in its' place. Thank you Speedy Worm!

Spikes arrived on the fourth day because I ordered Regular Mail. It may have been my fault, as 25% (251 out of 1000) were dead and there was too much wastage afterward despite being refrigerated at 38 F. In past years, I have always used Regular Mail and there were no problems, the larvae came alive and were stored for quite a long time. Today, a week after delivery, the remaining Spikes are good sized and very active, but I'm afraid they won't last long. Next time I'll try UPS 2 Days Delivery. UPS Next day delivery is too expensive.

This is the third time or fourth that I've ordered from speedy again my spikes arrived in great shape even in the hot weather. Only thing I would like to see added is a bag with some extra bedding . Each year when you send my spikes you use thinner styrofoam packaging and this year they where pupating ( about 20 or 30 ). When I got them out of the refrigerator 2 days after putting in there where 30 to 40 more. I'm hoping they start to keep better for me and if not I will have to buy local for when my grandkids so up at my mountain lodge. Was a little concerned when I got my spikes because 1 had pupated and was of the thought that they might all start to pupate. I put in the fridge and so far all is going well. The ice bottle was melted and warm when I received spikes unlike in the past when I received spikes in styrofoam container. I guess foam board is cheaper but I don't think works as well.

I split a 1000 count order with a fishing partner. We received 900. 3 arrived dead. Acceptable I guess. Only lost 8 total worms in a week.
Very lively. Did a saw dust vs corn meal comparison. Corn meal worms seem to keep better and are more lively. When changing bedding after a week they come out of the saw dust off to the races. They try to stay in the corn meal.
Corn meal also doesn't feel as wet as the saw dust.

Truly impressed with the company. I ordered my bait (spikes) online and instantly received notification and tracking number. Then things went bad. For whatever reason the postal service took their time delivering the package and it took several trips back and forth between the distribution center and the local delivery location.
When the product finally arrived (10 days) I instantly opened them with the intent to go fishing the same day. The packaging was very well done, but when I opened it up, all I had was a bag of dead black bait.
I was concerned that I was scammed from a bogus internet company, so I immediately called "Speedy Worm" to inform them of what I received.
They looked up my order, saw the shipping delays and without question, without hesitation they instantly entered a replacement order and sent me a new tracking number.
This time the bait made it directly to my location and all arrived alive and ready to be fed to the fish.

HI. The spikes I ordered did not come in the two days by mail as they should have . This was a problem by US two day Mail. It was around Xmas so that problem. They must been left where it was to warm as at least half of them were dead. I understand. I would be willing to order more and pay for 500 more but could you send some for the ones we lost. The Spikes arrived in perfect condition; fresh and all alive. I was worried that they would pupate due to the warm weather, but only 2 did over a three day shipping period. My little hen Miranda had a huge impacted crop. Part of the treatment involved feeding her live maggots. I was happy to find Speedy worm and ordered 500. Miranda loved them and wants more. I was pleased with the speed of arrival. The size of the Spikes was a pleasant surprise...they are large and very wiggly. My only regret is I should have bought more...from what I understand they keep a while in the frig. It would be nice if the company gave a better break on price or shipping if you buy more than the minimum amount. Overall I am well pleased.
